CSU's two story science building was designed by architects Lord, Aeck & Sargent of Atlanta. Trident Construction of Charleston was the general contractor who managed the construction. Low Country Painting focused primarily on interior coatings including textured surfaces, metallic coatings, specialty paints, and the dome mural. 
 Classic Low country styling can be seen throughout the building with special attention placed on the atrium, monumental stairs, dome and two story lobby area. Numerous labs, class rooms, faculty offices and student study areas make up the two primary floors of the building. This state of the art building greatly enhances CSU's science facilities.
